Regular cleaning of your home appliance helps long-term performance and durability. Learn how to clean the dust box, filter, MicroClean Brush, and MicroClean Sensor below.
Emptying the Dust Box and Cleaning the Filter
When your dust box is full, it may impact the strength and cleaning performance of your vacuum. Follow these simple steps to clean and empty your dust box and filter:
Always empty the dust box and clean the filter over a trashcan to catch any loose particles.
1. Detach the handheld vacuum from the tube.
2. Squeeze the two buttons on the side of the dust box to detach it.
3. Rotate the handle on the top of your dust box. The Rotation Clean feature will turn the filter inside to help remove clogged dust and debris.
4. Press the bottom button to open the dust box and slide the Compression Slider down to help push out trapped dust.
5. For a deeper cleaning, lift out the filter.
6. Separate the filter from the filter cartridge and shake both out to remove excess dust.
7. Reassemble the filter cartridge and place it back in the dust box.
8. Reattach the dust box. Hook the dust box to the front of the handheld vacuum and push back until you hear a click, locking it into place.

Cleaning the MicroClean Brush
Tangled hair and threads may get clogged in your floor brush over time. Follow these simple steps when you notice caught fibers or debris:
Always clean the floor brush over a trashcan to catch any loose particles.
1. Twist the black cap from the side of the bristle roller.
2. Continue twisting and pull bristle roller to remove it from the floor brush.
3. In case of tangled hair, pull the black cap from the roller or cut any tangled fibers with scissors to easily remove it from the roller.
4. Reattach the black cap and return the bristle roller to the floor brush. Twist the cap to lock and secure the roller to the brush.

Cleaning the MicroClean Sensor
Dust and debris build-up may affect your MicroClean sensor. Follow these steps to clean it:
1. Squeeze the two buttons on the side of the dust box to detach it.
2. Double check the tube of your handheld vacuum to make sure nothing is clogged.
3. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean behind or inside the tube.
4. Reattach the dust box. Hook the dust box to the front of the handheld vacuum and push back until you hear a click, locking it into place.
