Additional Bosch Dishwasher Error Symbols

Outside of error codes, there are additional symbols on Bosch dishwashers that indicate your appliance is experiencing an issue that needs attention. Here are some tips on troubleshooting error symbols you might encounter on your appliance:

Red light on the floor - A red light projected on the floor indicates the dishwasher is currently operating or that it has encountered an issue if the light is blinking.

Water tap symbol - This usually indicates a problem with the water supply, such as a blockage or the tap being turned off.

Check water light - Similar to the water tap symbol, this light indicates issues with the water supply.

Low salt indicator - Indicates the dishwasher's salt reservoir needs refilling, which is crucial for the water softening system in areas with hard water. Learn more about the low salt indicator.

Rinse aid refill indicator - Indicates the rinse aid dispenser needs refilling to ensure optimal drying and spot prevention.

Dishwasher Beeping

If your Bosch dishwasher is beeping, there are multiple possible causes, and these issues are usually signaled by the number of beeps. Some common causes of your dishwasher beeping are the end of cycle notification, an improperly closed door, or drainage issues. Oftentimes, these beeps will be accompanied by another error code in this guide.

Beeping patterns and solutions:

Beeps But Won’t Start: This is often due to an unlatched door. Ensure the door is securely closed and latched. If the latch is broken, it may need replacement.

Beeps 3 Times: This pattern usually indicates a leak with water pooling at the base of the dishwasher. Checking and cleaning the drain filter, inspecting hoses for clogs or leaks, and cleaning the door seal can address this issue.

Beeps 5 Times: While this may indicate various issues, one common reason is water at the base triggering the sensor, possibly requiring technician assistance to resolve.

Beeps with No Display: If the dishwasher beeps without any display, a reset might help. Turn off the circuit breaker for about 10 minutes, then turn it back on and try to run the dishwasher. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, the control board might be damaged and could need replacement.

• If the beeping persists and you're unable to resolve the issue using the steps above, it might be time to seek help from a professional. Bosch provides support and can recommend certified technicians. Please contact Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904.
