Ventilation Filters

When the vent hood is installed in recirculation mode, the air is picked up and passes through multiple filters including the charcoal filter that absorbs odors. This freshened air is then pushed back into the kitchen. Over time, activated charcoal particles saturate and stop blocking off odors leaving your kitchen with strong smells.

Charcoal filters cannot be washed. They have to be replaced.

It is recommended to change charcoal filters every 4-6 months.

For your convenience, Bosch ventilation hoods are designed to remind you to change your charcoal filters after they reach their maximum capacity. Check your Use & Care manual to learn about the notifications on hood's display

To get the cleanest air and quietest operation from your vent hood, you should regularly clean grease filters and change the charcoal filters (if in recirculation mode). Regular maintenance ensures safety from grease fires in the kitchen.
