Electric Cooktops

dE and Cooking Zones Do Not Heat Up

The demo mode has been activated.

To resolve:

1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply for 30 seconds by switching off the circuit breaker or fuse in the electrical panel.

2. Touch any control element on the cooktop within the next 3 minutes.

D or E

There is an operational fault/error.

To resolve:

1. Switch the appliance off and on again.

2. If the fault/error was a one-off occurrence, the message will disappear.

3. If the message appears again, call Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 and specify the exact error code when calling.

F2

The electronics have overheated. The corresponding cooking zone has been switched off.

To resolve:

1. Wait until the electronics have cooled down sufficiently.

2. Touch any control element on the cooktop.

3. When the error message disappears and the electronics have cooled down sufficiently, you can continue to cook.

Error Code F4

The electronics have overheated. All cooking zones have switched off.

To resolve:

1. Wait until the electronics have cooled down sufficiently.

2. Touch any control element on the cooktop.

3. When the error message disappears and the electronics have cooled down sufficiently, you can continue to cook.

F5 and Heat Level And Signal Tone

There is hot cookware near the control panel. The electronics are at risk of overheating.

To resolve:

1. Remove the cookware from the control panel and you can continue to cook.

F5 and Signal Tone

There is hot cookware near the control panel. The cooking zone has switched off to protect the electronics.

To resolve:

1. Remove the cookware from the control panel.

2. Wait a few seconds.

3. Touch any control element on the cooktop.

4. When the error message disappears and the electronics have cooled down sufficiently, you can continue to cook.

F8 + H/h and Cooking Zones Are Not Heating

The cooking zone has been operating continuously for an extended period of time without interaction. The automatic time limitation has been triggered.

To resolve:

1. Touch any control element on the cooktop.

2. You can set the cooking zone and continue to cook.

U400

The supply voltage is incorrect. It is outside the normal operating range.

To resolve:

1. Contact your electrical utility provider or contact Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 for assistance.

All Indicators Are Flashing

The control panel is wet or an object is covering it.

To resolve:

1. Dry the control panel or remove the object.

Child Lock/Panel Lock Is On

The cooktop control panel is locked. The panel lock may activate accidentally due to spills, food overflow, or objects on the touch key.

To resolve:

1. Touch the clean lock/child lock key for 4 seconds to unlock the control panel.

2. Touch clean lock/child lock for 4 seconds to reactivate it. The indicator over clean lock/child lock will light up for 10 seconds.

Induction Cooktops

dE and the cooking zones do not heat up

The demo mode has been activated.

1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply for 30 seconds by briefly switching off the circuit breaker in the fuse box.

2. Touch any control on the cooktop within the next three minutes.

E7010

The cooktop is unable to connect to your home network or to the hood.

1. Switch the appliance off and on again.

- If the fault/error was a one-off occurrence, the message will disappear.

- If the message appears again, call Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 and specify the exact error code when calling.

E9000 or E9010

The supply voltage is incorrect. It is outside the normal operating range.

Contact your electrical utility provider or contact Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 for assistance.

F1 or F6

The cooking zone has overheated. It has switched off to protect the work surface.

1. Wait until the electronics have cooled down sufficiently.

2. Switch the cooking zone back on and you can continue to cook.

F2, F4, E7015, E8207, E8208

The electronics have overheated. The corresponding cooking zone has switched off.

1. Wait until the electronics have cooled down sufficiently.

2. Touch any control element on the cooktop.

3. When the error message disappears and the electronics have cooled down sufficiently, you can continue to cook.

F5 and the power level flashes alternately with a signal tone

There is hot cookware near the control panel. The electronics are at risk of overheating.

Remove the cookware from the control panel and you can continue to cook.

F5 and a signal tone

There is hot cookware near the control panel. The cooking zone has switched off to protect the electronics.

1. Remove the cookware from the control panel.

2. Wait a few seconds.

3. Touch any control element on the cooktop.

4. When the error message disappears and the electronics have cooled down sufficiently, you can continue to cook.

F8

This error code could be caused by a number of issues — please check the following:

The supply voltage is incorrect. It is outside the normal operating range.

The cooktop is not connected correctly.

Disconnect the cooktop from the main power source. Reconnect it in accordance with the circuit diagram.

All Indicators Are Flashing

The control panel is wet or an object is covering it.

Dry the control panel or remove the object.

If the error persists, call Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 for assistance.

Animations On The 000 Displays

The cooktop is performing self-maintenance.

In certain circumstances, the cooktop can perform self-maintenance tasks, like a firmware update, optimization, or troubleshooting. Simply wait until the process is complete and only then switch the cooktop on.

If the error persists, call Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 for assistance.

Display Does Not Light Up

The appliance is not connected to a power supply or there has been an electronics fault.

1. Disconnect the cooktop from the main power source.

2. Connect another electrical appliance to check whether the power source has failed.

3. Reconnect the cooktop in accordance with the circuit diagram.

If the error persists, call Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 for assistance.

Gas Cooktops & Rangetops

E or F

There is an electronics fault or error.

1. Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.

2. Wait a couple of seconds and reconnect the appliance to the power supply.

3. If the message persists, call Bosch Customer Support at 1-800-944-2904 for assistance.

F2, F4 or F5 and the automatic ignition is not working

The electronics have overheated.

Turn all burners off or use the minimum power level until the electronic system has cooled down sufficiently.
