
Focaccia Bread
Ingredients
6 servings:
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp salt
1 1/3 tsp fresh yeast
3 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic (pressed or grated)
2 tbsp chopped rosemary
1 tbsp sea salt
Cocktail tomatoes
Spring onion
Olives
Herbs
Red Onion
Instructions
Step 1
Mix water with honey & yeast. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Knead flour, salt, olive oil & the yeast-water mixture into a dough. Then leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
Step 3
Mix all the topping ingredients & set aside for later.
Step 4
Wet your hands, pull the dough up on one side & fold in the middle. Repeat on all four sides. Then cover the dough & let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour. Repeat the process 3-4 times & leave to rise for one hour in between each time.
Step 5
Oil a baking tray with olive oil & place the dough in it. Oil your fingers & spread the dough with light pressure. Cover & leave to rest for one hour.
Step 6
Press your fingers into the dough. Then pour olive oil over the dough and into the made holes. Leave to rest for one hour, then add the toppings.
Step 7
Bake in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes at 200°C (top/bottom heat). Buon appetito!
