Falafel Recipe with Lisa Raleigh

Falafels are quick and easy to make and a real win for the whole family. And not only are falafels easy to make but they are also really versatile and can be served hot or cold, for lunch, dinner, as a snack with a dip or as part of many different dishes such as salads, as part of a meze plater, inside a wrap and so much more.

And the best thing is that these falafels are also easy to freeze so you can triple the recipe to freeze them for later as a healthy food preparation. Our falafels are plant based and completely vegan, packed with protein, nutrients and fiber and a great alternative to meat.

The only appliance needed is a good quality food processor or alternatively if you don't have a food processor at hand a blender like the Bosch VitaStyle Mixx2Go like Lisa's in the video.

  • Add all the remaining ingredients and pulse to combine, stopping when the dough is crumbly and before it becomes a paste.
  • Transfer to a bowl, cover in plastic wrap and refrigerate for an hour. (You can skip this step but dough will be more fragile when cooking.)
  • Heat a large griddle pan and coat generously in oil.
  • Once hot, roll dough between your hands and slightly flatten into discs and place on the pan.
