Creating a better world for future generations.

Sharing the planet means sharing responsibility for it. We all have to contribute to making the world a better, more sustainable place for current and future generations. At Bosch, that means ensuring everyone has access to durable appliances that conserve resources and rely on eco-friendly technologies.

Sparing and hard wearing.

For lasting change, we need efficient, lasting appliances. At Bosch, we make sure our products are true endurance athletes by sending them to our test centres. Opening and closing fridge doors 200,000 times and running 10 t of laundry through each of our washing machine and dryer models are just two examples of the rigorous trials we conduct. And we’re just as tough on efficiency as we are on durability. That means continually striving to ensure our appliances use even less water and power.

First, we make it last.

Materials matter. The longer they last, the less frequently you need to replace your appliances. And that not only reduces waste but also the consumption of new resources. Take for example our 1,200-watt ErgoMaster Series 6 hand blender. It's the first of its kind to feature a ceramic clutch that won’t wear out like plastic ones. Add that to air-cooling, which prevents the motor overheating, and you can say yay for years of puree.

Know watt? Our appliances use less.

High energy consumption literally costs the earth. More efficient equipment is better for the planet and your pocket. That’s why Bosch has not only increased the proportion of its energy-efficient appliances but also developed low-consumption technologies. Take for instance, one of our heat pump dryer models, which is 68% more efficient than a conventional condenser dryer. 1

Meter every litre.

Clean drinking water is an increasingly scarce resource, so wasting it on laundry and dishes won’t wash. Luckily, most of our Bosch dishwashers only use up to 9.5 litres to clean a load. That’s as much as 10 times less than handwashing 2 . And our washing machines with Active Water technology ensure you wring the most out of every drop that goes into your appliance, too. Thanks to sensors, the drum is only filled with as much water as is needed for the load size and type.

Give materials a second chance.

At Bosch, we strive to use resources sparingly in our products. One way to do that is to treat trash as treasure. Our bagged Series 4 vacuum cleaners are not only made with 30–38% recycled plastic, depending on the colour 3 , but are also just as durable as conventional models. And that’s not all. The washable filters in a number of our models ensure you don't need to keep buying new ones.

Make better use of fresh produce.

It’s not on for perishables to go off. Not only is that a waste of your money but also the resources that went into producing the food. Plus, groceries that rot in landfills release methane – a more damaging greenhouse gas than CO 2 . It doesn’t have to be that way with our VitaFresh fridges. Thanks to special climatic zones, they provide the ideal conditions for storing meat and vegetables giving you more time before consuming them. And if you use our Fresh Vacuum System, you can even keep food fresh for up to 2x longer in the fridge. 4

At your service.

The secret to a longer “service life” is in the first word – service. If you ever run into a problem with your appliance, our network of specially trained engineers is just a call away. They’ll keep your appliance in good repair and advise on how to prolong its life. Best of all, they’re committed to doing so as sustainably and conveniently as possible. That includes using remote diagnostics to troubleshoot without needing to make a trip. If a visit is necessary, our intelligent, automated route planning ensures there’s no wasting time or fuel in getting to your door.

Designed for peace of mind.

We’re so confident that our German precision engineering and rigorous testing won’t let you down that we offer generous warranties. Take for example, our brushless washing machine motors. Since this design eliminates mechanical stress, friction and wear, the motor lasts longer. Thanks to similar innovations, you also get a full decade’s motor cover on many of our vacuum cleaners and food appliances as well as 10 years’ anti-rust warranty on dishwashers.

Packaging, not pollution.

At Bosch, good things not only come in small packages, but those packages are also pretty good. That’s because we’re using less packing material to safely transport more and more of our small appliances. For the unavoidable packaging, we use sustainable options, such as paper pulp instead of expanded polystyrene (EPS) inlays and outer cardboard that’s made of 95% recycled paper.

A brand of many parts.

At Bosch, we believe old is gold. With that in mind, we ensure spares for our large appliances are available for 15 years after production ceases. Plus, you can count on finding parts for our small appliances for up to 10 years. And even when your machine can no longer be repaired, it needn't go to waste. Bosch will take it back when you buy a new one and reuse or recycle as much of it as possible.

A brighter future – Invented for life. Invented for all.

At Bosch, we believe that we can innovate our way to a better tomorrow. Our growing global research and development team works to make that more sustainable future a reality.
