As a chef who swears by working with the best fresh ingredients, my life is steered by Mother Nature and the seasons. In fact, at my restaurant Maude , we debut a new menu each month that features one seasonal ingredient across ten courses. In winter, I jump at the opportunity to incorporate decadent black truffles or zesty limes into the dishes, and this spring I’ve been so inspired by the fresh strawberries at my local farmer’s market.
So without a doubt, I always look forward to the spring! Spring months should be treasured by enjoying the best produce this beautiful season has to offer like those delicious ripe strawberries, crunchy radishes and so much more. It’s also, of course, the time of year to get everything in order and start anew. To really celebrate and enjoy the different times of the year I always like to throw a few festive gatherings filled with good food from the garden, great conversations, and my closest friends.
