Quick start guides to your Hood
Easy on, vapour gone.
There’s no cooking without cleaning. That’s why most professionals chefs stick to the “clean as you go rule.” And that’s exactly what your hood does. It whisks away aerosolised grease and steam as they rise from your hob so your kitchen cupboards won’t become sticky or damp. Plus, it gets rid of odours. Because even a spotless kitchen doesn’t feel pristine with the smell of last night’s fish hanging around.
Consumes your fumes.
“Following a clean as you go” policy with your hood is simple. Simply switch it on at a few minutes before turning on your hob. That way, you create a good draft to suck the cooking vapours upwards and keep the air in your kitchen as clean as your workspace. After you’ve finished cooking, leave it to run for a few minutes to dry odour filters and get rid of any last smelly or greasy vestiges.

Ready to start that extraction action? Touch the (|) symbol and the fan will activate at level 2. You can leave it there or adjust the level up and down. In addition to the 3 basic settings, there are two intensive ventilation functions to deal with a big build-up of odours and fumes. These “boost” and “power boost” options only run for a few minutes before automatically returning to a lower power level but you can turn down the fan before that.
When you’ve finished working on the hob, we recommend that you use the run-on function. This keeps the appliance running for up to 10 minutes to dry filters and get rid of any lingering vapour before turning it off. To do this, select the timer icon and your preferred level of extraction between 1 and 3. Just bear in mind that the run-on function can’t be used in intensive mode.
