Bosch Home Appliances introduces its cooperation with Containerwerk at Eurocucina 2018
On the occasion of Eurocucina, Milan's international design and kitchen fair from 17 to 22 April 2018, Bosch Home Appliances is not just attending with its usual stand at the Salone del Mobile – it is also presenting a builder business concept that is out of the ordinary. Here the brand is significantly stepping up its range of products and services aimed at building contractors and house builders – from consultancy through planning and design to the supply and installation of electrical appliances. This coincides with the starting shot given for a new partnership with the Stuttgart start-up Containerwerk. Thanks to a multi-patented, high-performance insulation system Containerwerk has put repurposing on a new footing, converting used freight containers into attractive homes. The company is hoping here to counteract the shortage of housing in many towns and cities, demonstrating that sustainability and social measures need be no disadvantage for house builders and property developers. With this cooperation Bosch is once again highlighting its commitment to integrated, modern solutions that are geared to the lifestyles of today.
New concepts for the latest trends
In an age where not just living space, but also resources are in increasingly short supply, new concepts are required – including for the home. In the context of a closed circle economy Containerwerk buys up used freight containers and breathes new life into them as a dwelling unit. This upgrading process revolves around an innovative monolithic insulation system, i.e. without thermal bridges. Manufactured all in one, it can be combined with different types of facade. Inside, there is also a whole range of options – from preplanned to customised fit-out designs. It is only the footprint of the modules that are fixed at 12 x 2.20 metres, and several can also be combined to make one unit.
In cooperation with Bosch, Containerwerk is presenting two options for its innovative housing at Eurocucina: a single-room module for people like students who live on their own, and a double container unit available as a luxury version. Both are equipped with high-end Bosch household appliances and are a good example of how such living space can be fitted out in an efficient, sustainable and high-quality manner. To kick-off their cooperation, Bosch and Containerwerk are inviting VIP partners to attend an exclusive live cooking event with Berlin based chef Marko Dietrich in Via Tartona on 19 April.
Optimum support for developers
By incorporating Containerwerk in its network of partners, Bosch, Europe's leading household appliance manufacturer, is reinforcing its commitment to the business builder sector. Bosch home appliances can be found in countless homes all over the world, offering perfect results, surprisingly simple solutions, maximum reliability and transparent quality. Attributes property developers and house builders are also happy to rely on. While modern lifestyles are changing due to the increasing shortage of living space, there has been no let-up in the high demands made on sustainable, good-quality equipment – if anything, they are rising further. With its efficient, high-performance appliances, integrated installation solutions and clear, comprehensive product design Bosch is perfectly equipped for whatever the future may bring. The company does not just offer its partners in the construction sector modern, state-of-the-art household appliances. It also assists with all questions of planning, from an extensive CAD library to individual customised solutions, as well as realisation at a practical level. This new cooperation with Containerwerk allows the company to expand its consultancy activities and services by interfacing them with a cutting-edge, modular home concept with major potential for coming years.
