A cord that gets in the way is a nuisance. An EasyStorage cord compartment keeps things neat and tidy. Plus, our OptiMUM and selected MUM5 models come with auto cord rewind: gently tug on the cord and it automatically retracts into the compartment, like on many vacuum cleaners. You can also conveniently adjust the cord to the desired length during use.

You want to add an ingredient to the bowl, but the beater or whisk is in the way? Our MUM5 and selected MUM Series 2 models automatically "park" the attached tool at the back of the bowl when the machine stops running. This leaves plenty of space at the front of the bowl for you to tip in liquid, sprinkle in flour – whatever a recipe calls for.

Need to change from the beater to the whisk? Finished kneading dough and want to remove the bowl? EasyArmLift on OptiMUM and MUM5 stand mixers makes it simple. With a press of the button, the arm of the machine lifts up automatically. So you can easily swap out the tool or twist out the bowl, barrier free.

So you can conveniently weigh ingredients directly in the mixing bowl, we were the first to integrate a scale into OptiMUM stand mixers and certain MUM5 models. No need to dirty another bowl or have a separate scale. The integrated 5 kg scale weighs in 5 gram increments. The weight appears on the stand mixer's digital touchscreen.

Pro tip:  There's also an integrated 3-hour timer on OptiMUM. Set to countdown mode and let your stand mixer knead or mix away. The machine stops automatically when the time runs out.

How do you know when egg whites are perfectly stiff? Pizza dough perfectly kneaded? Cream perfectly whipped? SensorControlPlus on our OptiMUM stand mixers always knows the answer. It's as simple as selecting the desired programme on the touchscreen, for example "CREAM", following the instructions and pushing start. Sensors detect when the cream is perfectly light and fluffy and the stand mixer stops automatically
