  • View our How-to-Videos on the Bosch YouTube Channel to learn how to clean stainless steel.

Before cleaning: Unplug the microwave. If the outlet is inaccessible, leave the microwave door open while cleaning. Make sure all parts are cool before cleaning.

To clean the interior: Wipe with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. A mild detergent may also be used. Avoid using harsh detergents and abrasive cleaning detergents and sponges. Do not use cleaning materials that contain chlorine since it is corrosive to stainless steel. Do not use oven cleaners. To prevent baked-on soil, clean food spatters or spilled liquids as they occur. To help loosen soil before cleaning, heat 2 cups of water in a 4 cup measuring container at high power for 5 minutes or until boiling.

To clean the exterior: Clean with a damp cloth and dry with a soft cloth. Water should not be allowed to seep into ventilation openings as this will potentially damage the microwave.

To clean stainless steel: Clean stainless steel areas by using mild, soapy water with a soft cloth. Wipe in the direction of the stainless steel grain when washing and drying. Rinse with water and wipe dry to avoid water marks. Do not use cleaning agents that are abrasive or contain chlorine since both are corrosive to stainless steel. For added shine, apply stainless steel conditioner and wipe off excess with a soft cloth. Do not apply stainless steel conditioners or cleaners to control labels or markings. Warning: Some stainless steel cleaners are known to have negative effects on materials other than stainless steel. Make sure to apply stainless steel cleaners to stainless steel components only! The Bosch stainless steel conditioner is available for purchase in the Bosch Accessories & Parts Store(part number 00576696).

To clean the control panel: When cleaning the control panel, leave the microwave door open to prevent it from accidentally turning on. If the control panel becomes wet, clean it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use harsh detergents or abrasives.

To clean microwave turntable: Wash in warm, sudsy water and wipe dry or use a dishwasher.

To clean the roller ring underneath the turntable: Wash in mild, sudsy water and wipe dry or use a dishwasher.

  • Steam sometimes condenses on the microwave’s cooler surfaces, such as the door. This is normal and the microwave should be wiped dry with a soft cloth should this occur. During cooking, steam and warm air are given off from the food. Most of the steam and warm air are removed from the microwave by the air which circulates inside the microwave. However, some steam may condense on cooler surfaces such as the microwave door.

  • Your power cord may not be plugged in. Check it and plug in the power cord if necessary.

You may be experiencing a power outage.

Power may not be flowing to the socket. Check if electricity is present at the outlet in question by using another small object that runs on electricity (e.g. hairdryer). If electricity is not present, consult a qualified electrician.

The fuse may have blown or the circuit breaker may be tripped. Replace the fuse or reset the circuit breaker.
