Warning: Do not use any cleaning agent while the surface is hot. The resulting fumes may be hazardous to your health and may result in death or injury.
To clean glass surfaces: Wash with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry or use glass cleaner.
To clean painted surfaces: Wash with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Do not use powder cleaning agents, steel wool pads, oven cleaners and other abrasive cleaning materials.
To clean stainless steel: Clean stainless steel areas by using mild, soapy water with a soft cloth. Wipe in the direction of the stainless steel grain when washing and drying. Rinse with water and wipe dry to avoid water marks. Do not use cleaning agents that are abrasive or contain chlorine since both are corrosive to stainless steel. For added shine, apply stainless steel conditioner and wipe off excess with a soft cloth. Do not apply stainless steel conditioners or cleaners to control labels or markings. Warning: Some stainless steel cleaners are known to have negative effects on materials other than stainless steel. Make sure to apply stainless steel cleaners to stainless steel components only! The Bosch stainless steel conditioner is available for purchase in the Bosch Accessories & Parts Store(part number 00576696).
To clean burner bases: Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the cooktop. Remove grates once they have cooled down. Grates are heavy so use care when handling them. Use a mild cleaning agent and hot water with a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. A stiff nylon tooth brush may be used to clean port openings. When cleaning, do not scratch or gouge the port openings and do not utilize a toothpick that may break off.
To clean the burner cap: Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the cooktop. Remove grates once they have cooled down. Grates are heavy so use care when handling them. Use hot, sudsy water with a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Non-abrasive cleaners, and liquid cleaners may also be used. Dry the burner cap thoroughly after cleaning. Do not soak burner caps.
To clean control knobs: To remove knobs, simply lift them straight up. Use hot, sudsy water with a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Do not soak the knobs or use abrasive cleaners and scrubb brushes.
