Cleaning & care instructions for your gas range’s exterior.
We recommend wiping away spills on a timely basis so that spills do not become hardened and difficult to remove. View our How-to-Videos on the Bosch YouTube Channel to learn how to care for your gas cooktop and how to clean stainless steel.
Warning: Do not use any cleaning agent while the surface is hot. The resulting fumes may be hazardous to your health and may result in death or injury.
The gas range can be safely cleaned when it is cooled down by wiping with a soapy sponge, rinsing and then drying.
To clean stubborn messes: Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the cooktop. Remove grates once they have cooled down. Grates are heavy so use care when handling them. Use a mild cleaning agent with a clean, soft cloth, rinse and then dry.
To clean glass surfaces: Wash with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry or use glass cleaner.
To clean porcelain surfaces: Immediately wipe up acid spills like fruit juice, milk and tomatoes with a dry cloth. Do not use a moistened sponge or cloth on hot porcelain. When the oven is cool, clean it with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. It is normal for porcelain to show fine lines with age due to exposure to heat and food.
To clean painted surfaces: Wash with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Do not use powder cleaning agents, steel wool pads, oven cleaners and other abrasive cleaning materials.
To clean stainless steel: Clean stainless steel areas by using mild, soapy water with a soft cloth. Wipe in the direction of the stainless steel grain when washing and drying. Rinse with water and wipe dry to avoid water marks. Do not use cleaning agents that are abrasive or contain chlorine since both are corrosive to stainless steel. For added shine, apply stainless steel conditioner and wipe off excess with a soft cloth. Do not apply stainless steel conditioners or cleaners to control labels or markings. Warning: Some stainless steel cleaners are known to have negative effects on materials other than stainless steel. Make sure to apply stainless steel cleaners to stainless steel components only! The Bosch stainless steel conditioner is available for purchase in the Bosch Accessories & Parts Store (part number 00576696).
To clean burner bases: Remove all pots, pans and utensils and turn off the cooktop. Remove grates once they have cooled down. Grates are heavy so use care when handling them. Use a mild cleaning agent and hot water with a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. A stiff nylon tooth brush may be used to clean port openings. When cleaning, do not scratch or gouge the port openings and do not utilize a toothpick.
Cleaning and care instructions for your gas range’s interior.
See the gas range’s Use & Care Guide for instructions on how to activate the oven’s self-cleaning process. Wipe away spills, pools of oil, and excessive debris before activating the self-cleaning process. Not doing so can cause smoke and possibly a fire. Do not clean oven parts or accessories in the self-cleaning oven. The light in the oven cannot be turned on during the self-cleaning process. The special heat-resistant enamel and the polished components in the oven can become discolored over time. This is normal and does not affect operation. Do not use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners and commercial oven cleaners (such as EasyOff®). These items may damage the oven. Remove all accessories, racks and broiling pans before activating the self-cleaning process.
To clean the flat rack: Wash with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Do not clean the rack in the self-cleaning oven. If flat racks are cleaned in the oven during the self-cleaning mode, they will lose their shiny finish and may not glide smoothly. If this happens wipe the rack edges with a small amount of vegetable oil, then wipe it off.
To clean telescopic racks: Wash with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Avoid getting cleansing powder or residue in the telescopic slides. Relubricate the telescopic slides as needed by using high-temperature food-grade lubricants. Do not clean the rack in the oven during self-cleaning mode.
To clean the broiling pan and grid: Wash with hot, soapy water and a soft cloth, rinse and then dry. Do not clean the broiling pan and grid in the oven during self-cleaning mode.
To clean the fiberglass gasket: Do not clean the fiberglass gasket.
