Energy Tips
A minor detail. A major effect.
Leave a gap as wide as your hand between the fridge and the wall. You'll cut your power use by up to 10%.
Save power when thawing out.
Place frozen foods in the fridge to thaw. They give off cold to the fridge and thus save electricity.
Food gets cold on its own.
Do you pop the pasta in the fridge while it's still steaming? Please don't! Wait until food has cooled down before putting it in the fridge.
