The five-times-one theory of freshness: clever ideas from Bosch keep your groceries tasty and healthy for longer
VitaFresh: fresh for three times as long using temperature and moisture control
HydroFresh: double the life of your groceries with efficient moisture control
ChillerCompartments: cooling compartments for meat, fish and drinks
CrisperBox: ideal for sensitive fruits and vegetables
FreshProtectBox: flexible temperature control for customized storage
Munich – Five innovative technologies in Bosch refrigerators provide significantly increased freshness for your stored groceries. They are called VitaFresh, HydroFresh, ChillerCompartment, CrisperBox and FreshProtectBox. The freshness concept you choose depends on what your needs are, what model you are looking at, your space limitations and a number of other factors. But one thing is sure: Bosch refrigerators strive for maximum efficiency, regardless of whether the goal is freshness or energy savings. Anything that stays fresh longer does not need to be bought on a daily basis. That saves you time, petrol and other mobility costs. And saving energy is a given with Bosch refrigerators.
VitaFresh: Two temperature zones for increased freshness
Long-lasting freshness is produced by two factors: optimum moisture and ideal temperature in the storage area. Bosch has implemented this concept using an intelligent technology, VitaFresh, a top feature among refrigeration systems. VitaFresh provides the ideal conditions for sensitive items using two areas with differing moisture levels: 95 percent for vegetables, salad and fruits, and 50 percent for fish, meats and eggs. A patented hydro-membrane controls these factors automatically while the temperature is kept constantly at just above zero degrees (C°). The result: Groceries remain crispy and full of nutrients for up to three times longer when in "their" temperature zone than in the average vegetable drawer.
HydroFresh: anti-evaporation effect
Moisture does not need to be actively controlled at all times. Sometimes it is sufficient to avoidloss of moisture in groceries by preventing evaporation. That is the principle behind HydroFresh, the freshness drawer from Bosch. It is a closed system with manual slide controls. If the moisture is to be kept in the drawer, and thus in the food, the controller is closed. The special drawer shape simultaneously prevents contact with condensation. If, on the other hand, groceries are a bit less perishable and do not need the moisture, the climate inside can be individually regulated. The system is ideal for fruits and vegetables or other perishables such as salads. The result is freshness for up to twice the length of time than in standard vegetable drawers.
Some like it cool: the ChillerCompartment
Some groceries do better in dry, cold environments. It used to be that these things were stored in a dark basement. Today, the ChillerCompartment from Bosch takes on that challenge, depending on the appliance variant: ChillerSafe, ChillerFlap and ChillerBox. Cool conditions reign inside – roughly 2 to 3° Celsius colder than the rest of the refrigerator. Since moisture plays no role here, meat and fish are predestined for this compartment. If you have a party on, the ChillerCompartment can cool larger quantities of drinks in a shorter amount of time.
Crispy fresh from the CrisperBox
The Bosch CrisperBox keeps your salads, fruits and vegetables crispy and appealing for as long as possible. This
