New approaches give more energy efficiency: Bosch home appliances at IFA 2011
Munich – The so-called "white goods" sector will again have much to show in the area of energy efficiency at the IFA 2011, held at the beginning of September. And to present, a fresh aspect of this topic, Bosch home appliances – as the major energy-saving brand par excellence – are again the focus of interest due to a survey on "How energy efficient are Germany's households?" carried out together with the opinion research institute forsa. The home appliances manufacturer now presents the results on its stand in hall 3.1 – and at the same time provides quite a "wow"-effect. The company is also presenting many innovative energy-saving appliances that will be taking center stage for the whole week. The perfected technology behind the appliances will be presented down to the smallest detail through numerous easy-to-understand visual effects.
Germany makes the „Green Technology inside-Check“
How energy-conscious are Germany's households? To find out, and at the same time to determine where there is still a need for further information or explanation on the subject of energy efficiency, Bosch, together with forsa, carried out a large-scale consumer survey in June 2011 – the „Green Technology inside-Check“. Questions such as "How economical is your refrigerator?", "Do you preheat your oven?", "Do you wash dishes by hand – and if so, why?" were on the agenda. The result: More and more households are demanding high to ultra-high efficiency in their home appliances. But not all utilize their energy-saving potential to the full – there is often not enough knowledge about alternatives. "It's exactly here that we will continue our policy of explanation" announced Harald Friedrich, who, as the successor to Volker Klodwig, is heading up the Bosch brand sales team at IFA for the first time. "To do so, we must state even more clearly how big the savings effect is for the individual appliances. And also show that, thanks to our huge range of appliances, we can offer a solution that indeed fits every household and every pocket."
More powerful and efficient than ever before
And the choice is bigger than ever: 2011 is for Bosch the year of its biggest ever energy-saving range. The brand has never had as many high-quality energy-saving models, produced in such a resource-efficient way, in its portfolio. In refrigerators alone, this autumn will see 20 models in the premium energy efficiency class A +++. Above all the new SmartCool floor-standing line, consisting entirely of A++ and A+++ appliances, and the large number of variants in the CoolComfort fitted product family, are of note. Energy-saving innovations are also to be found in the Bosch ovens: The new "Hot-Air Eco" heating technology works with a highly effective controller that to a large extent avoids temperature deviations and is thus more efficient. Thanks to this technology, numerous models will carry the supplementary designation "A-minus-30-percent" from the autumn of this year on. In addition, Bosch will present the first extractor hood that, due to being particularly energy-saving, bears the company's own "Green Technology inside" label. For Bosch dishwashers, getting the best marks in performance and efficiency is the order of the day – and that also applies to the new small Active Water 45 dishwashers in the energy efficiency classes A+ and A++. At the same time, in clothes washing the new HomeProfessional series is raising many eyebrows: Its members combine high-quality timeless design, performance at the leading edge of technology – with and without an automatic dispenser and VarioPerfect – as well as a new user-friendly operating logic.
