Maximum convenience, minimum consumption: Bosch introduces a new side-by-side refrigerator with IceWater dispenser in energy efficiency class A++

  • Loads of space, minimal energy – stylishly cool with the A++ package
  • IceWater dispenser: luxurious detail without extra consumption
  • MultiAirflow, SuperCooling, SuperFreezing and NoFrost: always a constant temperature – without defrosting

Munich – It used to be that side-by-side refrigerators were a luxury – even in terms of electricity consumption. That has changed since Bosch merged spaciousness with efficient technology and high energy efficiency. With the new model, the company has once again proved that comfort, size and elegance are not a contradiction to a low energy consumption profile. On the contrary, in January 2012, Bosch will be launching its KAD62V75 side-by-side combination refrigerator. The stainless steel unit with integrated IceWater dispenser is the first of its kind from Bosch to take up a position in energy efficiency class (EEC) A+++.

Elegance and comfort behind one facade

For a long time, Bosch has demonstrated its environmental and consumer awareness with side-by-side units in EEC A++. For the first time, the newly introduced unit also features the IceWater dispenser, a detail that many people view as an element of typical, American-inspired luxury. Whether summer or winter, dinner party or happy hour, aperitif or digestif: Enjoying fresh ice cubes, crushed ice or just icy cold water from the stainless steel dispenser, at the touch of a button, is for some hosts the most impressive and stylish way to use a refrigerator. Combined with the classy appearance, the "functional refrigerator" becomes a demonstrative style element in your kitchen or open-plan dining/living area.

Saving electricity day in and day out

Energy bills are an everyday reality – good thing that the new unit is in the lowest electricity consumption category possible. Sophisticated technologies with precise, electronic temperature control, the MultiAirflow system and the NoFrost design not only keep your food fresher for longer, but ensures constant and efficient climate control inside your refrigerator, due in no small part to the superb insulation. The NoFrost system is also a unique comfort feature: The tedious de-icing of the freezer compartment is now a thing of the past, and food stays tastier without ice crystal build-up.

Plenty of space for freshness

177 liter volume in the freezer compartment and 385 liters in the cooling area – with that much space, the interior design becomes important, so every food item has its ideal spot. The new Bosch model features numerous removable or height-adjustable shelves made of safety glass. The transparent vegetable compartment and freezer drawers on telescopic rails with limiters, generous door space and the BigBox all allow you to store your groceries logically and effectively. And the particularly bright interior lighting ensures that nothing gets lost in a little dark corner. It's easy on the eyes, good for the food, and better for your pocketbook. Luxury can be pretty economical.
