Munich – At the start of 2011, Bosch launched its new built-in line of CoolComfort refrigerators, a family of products that combines comfort, numerous practical benefits and extremely low electricity consumption. And it doesn't do it with technical tricks, but with high quality and substance in every detail. The sum of its features represents yet another step toward improving the quality of everyday life: long-lasting materials, sophisticated technologies, practical solutions and forward-thinking energy efficiency. Until now, the 14 models in the 88 to 178 cm height range (as refrigerator or refrigerator-freezer combination, with or without VitaFresh) have provided solutions for numerous installation situations and customer wishes. In autumn 2011, Bosch will expand the line to include one more model: KIL24A75, which fulfills the 123 cm category with convincing performance.

Small details that make life easier

New functions at Bosch are focused on the needs of the consumer. A good example is the new professional hinge, a seemingly small detail with great effect. With their sophisticated design, the hinges, in combination with the SoftClose door assist, close the refrigerator door gently and almost without a sound. What's more: After a certain angle, the door actually pulls itself closed, making unnecessary energy loss due to open doors a thing of the past. The professional damping system gently slows the door's swing when it is closing, so even children's fingers have enough time to escape. Another comfortable detail is the non-wear hinge, which lasts for years without failing.

Shed some light on fresh groceries

Good interior lighting in refrigerators isn't just easy on the eyes. Being able to see what you've got is part of the functionality. With the ComfortLight light system, Bosch is setting visible new standards. The pleasant, clear, white-blue light is similar to daylight. This illuminates the inside of the refrigerator so nothing stays hidden in the compartments and drawers. The units in the CoolComfort line also provide the optimum temperature to keep your food fresh and tasty for as long as possible. Many of the models contain a VitaFresh zone with variable moisture levels, while others feature a vegetable compartment with moisture control and a corrugated bottom for longer freshness.

Silent increases in efficiency

All models in the new line are real energy savers: The insulation, high-performance cooling unit, and electronic temperature control ensure constantly low electricity consumption that put them in the A++ class and, according to the new EU energy label from December 2010, some models are even in the A+++ category. These features also have another positive effect: maximum sound insulation. Noise emissions have been reduced to between 34 and 37 decibels. That is less than a quiet conversation, which typically reaches 40 decibels. In open living room / dining room situations, where the refrigerator is close to the dining table, this AcousticComfort feature from Bosch is a true benefit that once again adds to improved every-day life.
